On September 30th, 2004, Marysville Ohio Surgical Center opened to the residents of Marysville and surrounding communities. The highly specialized center was specifically designed for outpatient surgery and features state-of-the-art equipment. The center is a joint venture project between area physicians, Union County Health System, a support organization for Memorial Hospital of Union County, and Nueterra Healthcare, a development and management company.
A lot of thought went into the development of the center. Even the layout of the 10,000 square foot building has the patient and their family in mind. The Center includes a welcoming waiting area, three operating rooms, a pre-op area, step-down or recovery area and private exit. The surgical center is accredited by the Joint Commission and licensed by the state of Ohio.
Marysville Surgical Center stands out from other area surgery centers because of its advanced medical equipment, like the Infinity Vision System, a breakthrough technology that gently washes away cataracts with a sterile balanced salt solution. Other distinguishing features includes an in-house diagnostic imaging center, which allows physicians to conduct x-rays during surgeries and staff that is cross-trained nurses certified in Advanced Cardio Life Support and Pediatric Life Support.
